Silcock Commits to Tigers for 2026-27.
Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer head coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of attacker Elsie Silcock for the 2026–27 season.
A native of North Vancouver, B.C., Silcock most recently competed with the Burnaby FC Women's Premier Team. Prior to that, she played with the Burnaby FC 2008 squad in the BCSPL, helping lead her team to the provincial finals on two occasions.
Silcock enjoyed a standout 2025 season with Argyle Secondary School, being named a First Team All-Star and Offensive MVP. In 2024, she was also recognized as a First Team All-Star and the winner of the Golden Boot award. That same year, she was named an FTF Player of the Game and earned Second Team All-Star recognition.
This fall, Silcock will begin studying kinesiology.
When asked about why she chose Dalhousie, Silcock credited the women's soccer program's strong culture and Dalhousie's academic reputation. She also noted that during her visit to Halifax, she felt welcomed immediately.
Silcock expressed her excitement about joining the Black and Gold.
"I am very excited to become a Tiger and to play for such a successful team lead by a female coach along with studying at a top Canadian university," Silcock said. "I'm looking forward to building new connections and growing as a player and as a person."
Coach Cindy Tye also expressed her excitement about her team's newest recruit.
"Elsie is the product of a competitive Burnaby FC Club. A dynamic attacking player, Elsie has explosiveness that allows her to put back lines under pressure," Tye said. "A playmaker, Elsie can play anywhere across the front four giving us versatility and a great piece to add to our attacking core. Carrying a competitive attitude on the field and a top student in the classroom, we are excited to welcome Elsie to the Tigers!"
The Tigers continue to build toward the 2026–27 AUS season as they welcome Silcock to the Dalhousie women's soccer program.
