New faces. Same pride. One family.

The Dalhousie University Department of Athletics and Recreation are excited to announce the new logos for the Tigers and Rams.
These new logos are dynamic and fierce. The designs bring the branding in line with the recently revised institutional branding of Dalhousie University. Adopting the colour palette of the university, specifically the vibrant beak gold, aligns visually the two brands.
“After a significant creative process, I am excited to finally share with you the new faces of the Tigers and the Rams,” says Tim Maloney, Execuitve Director of Athletics and Recreation.
The department worked with The Northern Creative Agency to develop the two new logos and the implementation of the re-brand process within the department.
“As owner and creative director of the Northern Creative Agency, and as a Dalhousie alumnus myself (‘07), it is my honour that our firm was chosen by Dalhousie Athletics to update the Tigers and Rams brands,” says Ben Bennett, Creative Director, the Northern Creative Agency. “The influence of sport and education on our youth and society is fundamental to our nation’s culture—and our company’s as well. Having worked with franchises that range from youth sport leagues to the NHL, we’re excited about bringing that same level of creative services to Dalhousie Athletics & Recreation.”
This brand evolution is significant for the department as the Tigers logo has not had a major refresh in over 50 years while the update to the Rams logo will align the two visually, providing important consistency moving forward.
