Tigers add Kourouniotis for 2025-26
Tigers women’s soccer head coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of Mia Kourouniotis for the 2025-26 season.
Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer head coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of Mia Kourouniotis for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Edmonton Alberta, the 5’11 goalkeeper plays for Juventus Soccer Club where they won the 2024 Alberta Soccer Association provincial championship and 2024 USA Cup Championship. She was also a part of the Cavalry Women’s ID program in the winter of 2024 and Whitecaps REX program in the winter of 2022-23.
“I could not be more excited to be a Tiger and call Halifax my home for the next four years!” says Kourouniotis. “As soon as I experienced the friendliness of the team and coaching staff, I just knew it was the right fit for me.”
An honour roll student, Kourouniotis will be studying commerce at Dalhousie
“A goalkeeper with great size and hands, Mia will add to our goalkeeper core to make us stronger,” says Tye. “A solid shot stopper, her physical presence in the box can help to strengthen our back line. A solid student, we look forward to welcoming Mia to campus in the fall!”
The women’s soccer team ended their 2024-25 AUS regular season with a 5-4-3 record.
