Mattersdorfer commits to Tigers for 2026-2027

Dalhousie Tigers women's hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Mayson Mattersdorfer for the 2026-27 season.

A 5'6" forward from Lethbridge, Alberta, Mattersdorfer joins the Tigers after three seasons competing in the U18 Female Prep circuit. She spent two seasons with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U18 Female Prep program from 2023-24 to 2024-25, appearing in 60 games and recording seven goals and 16 assists. In 2025-26, she competed with Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) U18 Female Prep, adding four goals and five assists in 29 games.

Known for her dedication, work ethic and commitment to her teammates, Mattersdorfer was recognized as OHA U18 Female Prep's Most Inspirational Player during the 2025-26 season. Her leadership and positive impact both on and off the ice have been key parts of her development as a player.

Away from the rink, Mattersdorfer has excelled academically, earning Honour Roll recognition throughout high school while also receiving the prestigious Dr. Allan Offenberger Award. She will continue her academic journey at Dalhousie, pursuing a Bachelor of Science while competing with the Tigers women's hockey program.
