Dalhousie Tigers women's hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Claire Scott for the 2026-27 season.
Hailing from Whitby, Ontario, Scott plays for the Kingston Ice Wolves of the OWHL U22 AA Elite League. A goalie, she has started for the Ice Wolves eight times this season recording a save percentage of 0.915. Previously she played 51 games for the Toronto Aeros U22 AA Elite and 24 games for the Clarington Flames U18 AA. A rookie with the Aeros in the 2024-25 season, she was named the team's Breakthrough Player of the Year.
An honour roll student, Scott has been accepted to both the computer science and engineering programs at Dalhousie.
"I am excited that I get to be a part of a strong hockey program at a highly regarded school in a beautiful city," says Scott. "I can't wait to meet my teammates, hit the ice, and compete as a Tiger next season."
"Claire brings steady rebound control, fundamental positioning, and exceptional game awareness allowing her to play consistently and effectively at the U22 level as a 17 year-old," says House. "She brings a relentless compete level, work ethic, and coachability and we are looking forward to her having a bright future with us.
The Tigers currently sit in the middle of the AUS standings before the winter break.
