ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland — Memorial University defeated Dalhousie University, 76-64, with a significant rebounding advantage, pulling down 50 boards to Dalhousie's 24.
Dalhousie opened the first quarter with a challenging start, initially trailing Memorial. Despite Memorial's early 12-point lead at 7:01, Dalhousie managed to cut into the deficit with contributions from Cairo Henning and Melina Collins. Henning scored consistently in the paint, while Collins assisted on a key 3-pointer by Madelyn White to narrow the gap.
