Sydney, NS - The Capers won by a significant margin with a score of 83-65 against the Dalhousie Tigers on Friday night at the Sullivan Field House.
The game started with a bang with Capers gaining a lead very quickly against the Tigers. With assists by MacKenzee Ryan and buckets from Hailey MacLeod. The Cape Breton pair contributed tremendously to the Capers' success. Half-time ended with a score of 44-23, MacLeod had 14 points for the Capers and Chloe Wilson (Dartmouth, NS) had 7 for the Tigers.
Defensive tactics were dominant in the second half of the game. Despite the Tigers' best effort (including a last-second shot made by Bridget McSwiggan), the Capers held their ground and ended the game with 83-65 victory.
The Subway Player of the Game was Hailey MacLeod who had 20 points and 7 rebounds onthe night.
The Tigers are nex in action on Wednesday as they host StFX X-Women at Dalplex.
