Demone Commits to Tigers for 2026-27.
Dalhousie Tigers track and field coaches Rich Lehman and Tim Brennan are pleased to announce the commitment of Taylor Demone for the 2026-27 season

Hailing from East Port Medway, Nova Scotia, Taylor is a member of the Andre DeGrasse Future Champions Program and brings impressive national-level experience to our men's Speed-Power team.
In 2025, Taylor set a championship record in U18 long jump at the Canadian Indoor Track & Field Championships, winning gold with a jump of 6.82 m. At the Legion Track & Field Championships, he won gold with a wind-legal jump of 7.10 m. With these performances, Taylor holds the Nova Scotia U18 and U20 provincial long jump records.
A versatile sprinter and jumper, Taylor has represented Nova Scotia on multiple national stages, including the 2023-2025 Legion Championships and the 2025 Canada Summer Games in the long jump, 100m and 4x100m relays. He will make an immediate impact within our men's jumps and sprints groups.
Taylor arrives with personal bests of 7.10m in the long jump, 7.23s in the 60m, 11.07s in the 100m, and 23.05s in the 200m.
