Tigers add White for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers track and field head coach Rich Lehman is pleased to announce the commitment of Jacob White for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Port Williams, Nova Scotia White was the 2023-24 100m, 200m and 400m provincial champion. White is a member of the Athletics Nova Scotia high performance team, and is the 2024-25 Manitoba indoor 400m champion, Nova scotia u20 Indoor 200m record holder, and u18 400m record holder.
Nominated for Athletics Nova Scotia u18 2024 athlete of the year and a two-time member of the Nova Scotia Legions track team, White has also been named Horton High School track and field MVP in 2022-23 and 2023-24, as well as receiving the Horton High School track and field coaches award in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the Dalhousie business program as well as getting the chance to run with a great team.” Says White. “I’m looking forward to getting to represent the school, as well as seeing myself develop as a Tiger.”
White will be studying commerce at Dalhousie
“We are excited to welcome Jacob White to the Dalhousie track & field Team.” Says Brennan. “Jacob will have an immediate impact on our men’s sprints program and contribute to nationally competitive relay teams. He has impressive range from the 60m to the 600m and is one of the top grade 12 Canadian long sprinters this year. Welcome to the Tiger family Jacob!”
The Tigers successfully defended their AUS track and field titles in Saint John, New Brunswick this March.
