Tigers add Gratton for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers track and field head coach Rich Lehman is pleased to announce the commitment of Jonah Gratton for the 2025-26 season
Hailing from Cornwall, Ontario, Gratton attends La Citadelle Secondary School and has been a member with Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club since 2022. A 6’1 sprinter, he has won silver at the Athletic Ontario Championships in the 4x400, he was the 2023 and 2024 Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association sprint and intermediate hurdles champion and placed ninth in the 110m hurdles at the U18 Legion Canadian Nationals in 2024.
“I knew Dalhousie was the place for me as soon as I stepped foot on campus in Halifax” says Gratton. “I’m excited to grow both academically and athletically. Joining the track and field team means a lot to me and I can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success.”
Gratton will be studying arts and social sciences at Dalhousie.
“We are excited to welcome Jonah Gratton to the Dalhousie track & field team” says Sprint/Power Lead Tim Brennan. “Jonah will add more depth to our men’s hurdle and sprints groups and will have an immediate impact within the conference.”
The Tigers successfully defended their AUS track and field titles in Saint John, New Brunswick this past March.
