Phoebe Lenderyou was the top finisher for the Tigers on day one of the U SPORTS championships hosted by the Universite de Sherbrooke. She placed fourth in the 50m backstroke.
Phoebe Lenderyou captured a bronze medal in the 100m backstroke Saturday night at the U SPORTS swimming championship in Sherbrooke.
After the third and final day of competition, the Dalhousie Tigers captured both 2016-17 Subway AUS swimming titles – the 19th consecutive win for the men and the 16th for the women.
The Dalhousie Tigers men and women swam to meet titles at the Acadia AUS Invitational in Wolfville, NS on Saturday.
First-year Tigers swimmer Alec Karlsen set a new AUS record in the men’s 400m IM event in a time of 4:21.52 on the second night of the Kemp-Fry Invitational swim meet. He broke fellow Tiger Bryan Fummerton’s time of 4:21.62, set November 25, 2011.
The Tigers men’s 800m freestyle relay team of Gavin Dyke, Peter Inches, Keenan Teghtsoonian and Tyler Immel-Herron set a new AUS record. Dyke also set the 200m freestyle record during the opening leg of the relay.
Both the women's and men's swim teams got their first team wins of the season at the Jack Scholz Invitational at Acadia over the weekend.
