Baxter commits to Tigers for 2026-27 season.
Hailing from Brooklin, ON, Ethan Baxter is joining the men's volleyball team. The 6’9’’ middle blocker will bring excellent size, athleticism, and experience in big games.
Baxter has most recently competed with Durham Attack Blast, one of Ontario's top volleyball clubs. During his 2023-24 season, Baxter was the recipient of Durham Attack's Achievement of Excellence Award.
Off the court, Baxter has received Honour Roll status over his past four academic years and will begin his studies in commerce this fall.
When asked about coming play at Dalhousie, Baxter credited his decision to Dalhousie's excellent academic reputation. He also mentioned the sense of community he felt within the team and on the broader campus. Baxter is looking forward to joining an environment where student athletes are supported both on and off the court to help them achieve both athletic and academic success.
"I'm excited to be joining the men's volleyball team. When I visited Dal, I immediately felt welcomed by the team, and I could tell they are a great group of people," Baxter said. "I'm looking forward to developing as a player under Coach Dan - his knowledge and experience really stood out to me during the recruiting process. I'm excited to join my new teammates, and I'm ready to work hard to contribute to the team's future success."
