Docker commits to Tigers for 2026-27 season.
Coach Ota welcomes Halifax native Eli Docker to the men’s volleyball program.
The 6'4 outside has been competing with the Tigers Volleyball Club for the past four seasons and has captained the team for the last two. Docker helped lead the Tigers to a silver medal at Provincials in 2025 and a bronze medal in 2024. Docker also has experience completing at Volleyball Canada National Championships, as well as multiple high-level Atlantic Canada tournaments.
With his high school team at Citadel High School, Docker contributed to both the team's offensive and defensive success. His efforts were recognized as he was awarded Rookie of the Year and Dalhousie Tournament All-Star.
Over the past two years Docker has also captained Team Nova Scotia, where he competes at the Canada Cup and the Coupe de l'Est, facing college and CEGEP-level competition from across Eastern Canada. After a successful 2025 season, Docker was named a Provincial All-Star.
Docker also took part in Volleyball Nova Scotia High Performance / PEP during his 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons. He captained Nova Scotia's Canada Games Team in 2025, and his experience in high pressure games will be an asset to the Tigers.
Off the court, Docker is also a high achiever. During the 2024-25 academic year, Docker received High Honours status and was a member of the Principal's List the year prior.
When asked why he chose Dalhousie, Docker highlighted the work ethic and accountability of the program, the opportunity to stay connected to the Halifax volleyball community, and the university's strong business program that supports his goals beyond the court.
Docker has shared his excitement to join the Black & Gold this fall.
"I'm really excited to join a program that I already have a strong connection to. Being around the team, I've seen the culture, work ethic, and the sense of family that makes the Tigers special," he said. "It's an environment where everyone pushes each other to get better every day, and that's exactly what I was looking for. I'm proud to stay in Halifax, represent Dalhousie, and compete at the next level."
