Peach commits to Tigers for 2026-27 season
Coach Ota is pleased to announce the committment of Berwick, NS, native Aidan Peach to the men’s volleyball program.
The 6'3'' setter has played with Vally Venom Volleyball Club for the past seven years and competed with West Kings Senior Boys Volleyball, where he has helped them secure two back-to-back SSNS Championships. He has also played with Team Nova Scotia for three years and helped lead them to a top 10 finish at the 2025 Canada Games.
Peach is the recipient of the Volleyball Coach's Award in his 2019, 2020, and 2021 junior high seasons. In 2021, he was also recognized as his schools Male Athlete of the Year. During his 2022-23 season, Peach received the NSSAF Exemplary Participation Award and the Intermediate Male Athlete of the Year Award. During his 2023-24 season, Peach was the recipient of the Ron O'Flaherty Scholar-Athlete Award, as well as the Volleyball Wolverine Award, which he also received the following season. In 2024-25, Peach's efforts were also recognized with the MVP Award.
Off the court, Peach is the recipient of the Kristin Rainsforth Memorial Citizenship & Work Ethic Award in 2019-20. During his grade 10 year, he also received the Felch Award. In the fall, Peach will begin his studies in kinesiology.
When asked why he chose Dalhousie, Peach credited his decisions to the academic and athletic aspects of the school. Dalhousie's kinesiology program aligns with his interests and future career goals. The volleyball program will also provide him with a competitive environment to continue to grow as a player. Peach emphasized how playing for the Tigers will allow him to represent his community while pursuing his athletic goals, something he is looking forward to.
Peach has shared his excitement in joining the Black & Gold this fall.
"I'm incredibly excited to join Dalhousie and the Tigers volleyball program," he said. "It's a great opportunity to compete at a high level while continuing to grow both as a player and a person."
The Tigers continue to build toward future RSEQ success.
