How long have you been playing volleyball?
Since 5th grade.
How did you start playing volleyball or get into it?
My family used to play volleyball in the backyard, and I really enjoyed it, so I attended camps and wanted to be a part of a team as soon as possible.
Did you play any other sports growing up?
Yes, hockey, curling, baseball, basketball, badminton, and track and field.
Who is somebody in the volleyball community you admired growing up and why?
I always admired Gavin Schmidt growing up because he is from Saskatchewan and played with Team Canada.
What is the most memorable moment in your career so far?
The most memorable moment in my career so far has either been winning 18u club volleyball Provincials in Saskatchewan, or competing at the Canada Summer Games with Team Sask.
What made you choose Dalhousie University?
I have always wanted to play volleyball at the university level, and academics are also very important to me. Dalhousie University is where I saw the perfect opportunity to thrive as a student-athlete.
Did any of your family members attend Dalhousie University?
My cousin attends Dalhousie University.
How has the transition from high school sports to university sports been for you so far?
The Transition from high school sports to university sports has been challenging, but fun. I am enjoying the daily practices, and the speed and intensity of the game.
How do you balance academics and sports?
There is much more work and responsibility required to be a student-athlete at the university level. However, I have had some experience from high school taking part in many school sports and clubs, while maintaining a high academic average. I try to keep my calendar organized to stay on top of assignments and exams so that I am not cramming at the last minute.

I enjoy spending time with friends and family.
Any pre-event superstitions/routines?
I always put my left shoe on before my right.
