Tigers add Pook for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers men’s volleyball head coach Dan Ota is pleased to announce the commitment of John Pook for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Cambridge, Ontario, Pook plays for the Kitchener-Waterloo Predators Volleyball Club on their 18U Invictus team. A libero and outside hitter, he previously played for three seasons with the Cambridge Scorpions Volleyball Club. Pook and his Galt Collegiate Institute & Vocational School teammates were Waterloo County Secondary School Athletic Association (WCSSAA) and Central Western Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (CWOSSA) finalists in 2024-25. Pook was named the WCSSAA league MVP for his efforts.
“I am beyond excited to spend the next chapter of my life in a school renowned for its academic and athletic excellence,” says Pook. “I am looking forward to a successful season with the Tigers volleyball team.”
Pook will be studying engineering at Dalhousie.
John is solid in reception and defence, so is a natural fit to a libero role at the U SPORTS level,” says Ota. “He also has the ability to play left side, so his versatility will be a great addition for our squad next season.”
The Tigers finished the 2024-25 RSEQ regular season in fifth place.
