(Halifax, NS) On Friday night at the Dalplex the UNB Varsity Reds claimed the men’s volleyball AUS championship, defeating the Dalhousie Tigers 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 25-23, 27-25). Cody Timmons (UNB) and Jonathan MacDonald (DAL) were named Subway players of the game for their respective sides while Elvind Andersen (UNB) was named championship series MVP.
The Tigers tied the best two of three series this afternoon with a 3-2 over the UNB Varsity Reds in Fredericton this afternoon.

(Halifax, NS) On Sunday afternoon at the Dalplex the Dalhousie Tigers beat the Memorial Sea-Hawks 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-17) in a four-point match. The two teams were scheduled to faceoff tomorrow evening as well but the game was cancelled due to poor weather creating a four-point game on Sunday.
The Tigers fell 3-1 (25-23, 28-26, 20-25, 25-19) to the Montreal Carabins in their opening match of the third AUS-RSEQ Interlock at UNB.
After Dalhousie won the first two sets of the game, UNB put up a strong fight by winning the third and fourth before the Tigers finished the last set to win the game.
Dalhousie, ranked first in the AUS, made a comeback to win the game after losing the first set to the UNB Varsity Reds.
The Tigers competed in the second Interlock of the season at Sherbrooke this weekend and finished with 3-1 win over Laval, ad 3-1 loss against Montreal, and 3-2 win over Sherbrooke.
Dalhousie managed to stay in the game by winning the third set, and after an incredibly close fourth set with each team matching each other point for point, Sherbrooke managed to come out with the win for the game.

The Tigers couldn't contain the Laval Rouge et Or, losing in straight sets in their final match of the AUS-RSEQ Interlock
With 4 close sets in the game, the fifth and final set finished with a win for the Tigers at 3-2 (16-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-22, 16-14).
In the second match of the two-game series, the Tigers dominated the Thunderbirds to tie the series at one apiece.
