Tigers add Weatherston for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers men’s soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of Reese Weatherston for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, the 5’9 midfielder plays for Halifax city u17AAA where in 2022-23 they won the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) provincial cup and was part of the team that won the Toyota u17 nationals. Weatherston was the captain of his u17AAA team in 2023-24 when they won the NSSL provincial cup.
An honour roll student, Weatherston has played on Citadel High School’s varsity soccer team, which they won the provincial in 2023-24.
“I’m super excited to be a Tiger as I believe this is a place where I can improve myself on and off the field.” Says Weatherston. “I’m looking forward to getting started with the team and working hard to contribute to the success of the program.”
Weatherston will be studying engineering at Dalhousie.
“I’m really excited to be welcoming Reese to the Tiger family.” Says Jazic. “Reese is a quiet competitor who competes at a very high level. His soccer IQ is very high, and he has the ability to play anywhere in the midfield. He’s cool calm and collective on the ball and regularly makes the right decisions for himself and his teammates. He has a fantastic attitude and will not be out worked. I’m really excited to have the opportunity to work with him over the next 4-5 years.”
The men’s soccer team ended their 2024-25 AUS regular season in fourth place with a 6-4-2 record.
