Coach Jazic announces the addition of goalkeeper James Craig
Craig, a talented goalkeeper from Wolfville, Nova Scotia, will join the team for the upcoming season while pursuing a Commerce degree.
Craig brings strong experience to the Tigers. He has represented Team Nova Scotia for two consecutive years (2023–2025), highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Canada Games in Newfoundland. He currently competes with Valley United's senior men's team and has also developed his game through the BMO Whitecaps Academy in 2023 and 2024.
Off the field, Craig has demonstrated consistent academic excellence at Horton High School, earning Honours with Distinction in each year of his studies.
"I chose Dalhousie because of the impressive Commerce program, and I believe it will be a great fit for me both academically and athletically," says Craig. "I'm super excited to be joining the Tigers. I believe it's a great program where I'll be able to learn a lot and continue to improve as a player. I'm looking forward to this new challenge and can't wait to get started in August."
Head Coach Alan Jazic is equally enthusiastic about Craig's addition to the squad.
"I'm excited to welcome James to the Tiger family. He is a great young keeper who has experience playing at the highest levels in youth soccer, including the Canada Games and the Halifax Wanderers developmental programs," says Jazic. "I like James' frame as a goalkeeper—he has great shot-stopping ability and is a strong, commanding presence in his area. James has great potential and all the qualities to be a top keeper in this league. More importantly, he truly wanted to be a Dalhousie Tiger, and I'm really looking forward to working with him over the next four to five years."
