Tigers add Kindree for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers men’s hockey head coach Chris Donnelly is pleased to announce the commitment of Owen Kindree for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from London, Ontario, the 6’1 defense played the last three seasons on the Milton Menace Jr. A team in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). In his rookie year, Kindree played 51 games with three goals, and 12 assists on the season. Taking a leadership role of assistant captain in his second year, Kindree played 49 games, with six goals and 33 assists, earning a nomination for 2023-24 OJHL defensemen of the year.
Kindree’s third year with the Milton Menace saw him play 46 games, including a Buckland Cup final and a Western Conference championship, with a total of 23 points on the season.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Dalhousie and play for the Tigers. It’s an exciting step for me, and I’m looking forward to working hard and earning my place within a great program."
The honour roll student will be studying commerce at Dalhousie.
“Owen was nominated as top defensemen in the OJHL last year, so we are excited to be having him join our team here in September. He brings good mobility, intelligence and ability to move the puck away from pressure. Owen is a hard-working individual and will be a tremendous addition to Dalhousie community.”
The Tigers open their 2025-26 season at UNB on October 3.
