Houben joins Tigers for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers men’s hockey head coach Chris Donnelly is pleased to announce the commitment of Nick Houben for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Stratford, Ontario, the 6’1 forward plays for the Nepean Raiders Jr. A of the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL) where he is the assistant captain. Playing over 100 games for Nepean, Houben added his career high 43 points this season to his accomplishments of the Arthur K. Neilsen Award for academic player of the year, and the Randy Watt Memorial Award for excellence in school, community, leadership, and hockey.
“I’m extremely excited to be a Tiger” says Houben. “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to play university hockey at Dalhousie and study in their reputable commerce program. I can’t wait to get started, contribute to the growth and success of the hockey program and help build something special here at Dal.”
Houben will be studying commerce at Dalhousie.
“We are very excited to have Nick joining our team from the very prestigious Nepean Raiders.” says Chris Donnelly. “Well known for his hard work and physical play, we are adding another character person with strong values to the hockey program.”
The Tigers finished the 2024-25 season with a 3-27 record, outside of a playoff position.
