Cox commits to Tigers for 2026-27 season
Coach Plato has announced the signing of 6’7 guard Glen Cox of Scotsburn, Nova Scotia, to the Dalhousie men’s basketball team.
The 6'7 guard Joins the Tigers following previous seasons with UPEI, University of the Fraser Valley, and Acadia University. During his time at Acadia, Cox would emerge as one of the top scorers in U SPORTS, averaging 22.1 points per game over the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons. He earned AUS First-team All-star honours and led the AUS in scoring in 2023-24 while finishing second nationally in U SPORTS scoring. He was also named an AUS Second-team All-star in 2024-25 and earned AUS Tournament All-star recognition in 2021-22.
When asked why he chose to become a Tiger, he spoke about the culture Coach Plato has built within the program, highlighting its strong emphasis on hard work, accountability, and high-level competition.
Coach Plato shared his excitement about adding Glen to the Tigers' roster.
"We are excited about the commitment of a player with Glen's pedigree. His scoring ability is unquestioned and his unique ability to finish in transition is dynamic. Glens' scoring abilities will be a huge boost to the Tigers' offence this year. Most importantly, Glen is committed to being a complete team player and with his experience, dedication, and commitment to finishing his career on a positive note, I firmly believe that Glen will be a major force for us this season."
