PepsiCo Athletes of the Week (ending February 22)

Cara MacDonald, Track & Field

New Glasgow native Cara MacDonald had an amazing performance at the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Championship this past weekend, helping the team bring the AUS banner home.

She won gold in the 600m, anchored the gold medal 4x400m relay, and earned bronze in the 100m.

Cara has also qualified for U SPORTS in the 1000m, 600m, 4x400m, and 4x800m.

Cara is in her third year of a science degree.

Rylan Murphy, Track & Field

This is Rylan’s second Athlete of the Week honour. Rylan played a big role in the team’s Atlantic University Sport (AUS) banner victory.

He won gold in shot put, setting a new Dalhousie University record, and earned bronze in the weight throw with a personal best performance.

Rylan was also named AUS Male Field Athlete of the Year and has qualified for U SPORTS in shot put. 

Rylan is studying recreation therapy and hails from Bedford, NS.
