Throwback Thursday (May 2)

This week's Throwback Thursday features Leanne and Jeanette Huck from the women's soccer team.

Representing the Tigers for a combined nine years, sharing the soccer pitch for two of those years, the Huck sisters have an impressive list of accomplishments. Between them, they have five CIS all-Canadian nods, nine AUS all-star awards, six Dalhousie women’s soccer MVP awards, and four Class of ’55 awards (Dalhousie’s female athlete of the year).

Leanne is a three-time AUS women’s soccer first team all-star and a two-time AUS women’s soccer MVP. She was also an accomplished track and field athlete during her time at Dalhousie. A member of the CIS gold medal winning 4x200m relay team in 2005, she is also a four-time AUS 300m gold medallist and a four-time AUS 60m medallist.

A four-time academic all-Canadian, and five-time AUS all-star, Jeanette played from 2006 to 2010 and earned the AUS women’s soccer rookie of the year award in 2006.
