The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Mount Allison Mounties 5-3 in AUS women's hockey action on Saturday night in Sackville. After falling down 2-0 in the first, the Tigers worked their way back to pull even with the Mounties before scoring the eventual game winner with nine minutes to play.
The Mounties struck first when Jessica Campbell tipped a pass in the slot past Fabiana Petricca just over 11 minutes into the game. Abby Wisener and Rhiannon Ford picked up assists on the play.
The Mounties extended their lead to 2-0 three minutes later when Maddy Koughan streaked down the left wing and ripped a wrister over the shoulder over Petricca. Abby Beale picked up an assist on the play. Dalhousie would pull to within 1 just 40 seconds later when Natalie Stanwood beat Katie Mowbray from the slot. Autumn Moors and Tara Morning got assists on the play.
